New Amendments to Thai Corporate Law
Due to the impracticality of present Thai corporate laws,
not only for the number of promoters and shareholders,
which require at least 7 persons, but also for the period
of time for incorporation, which takes at least 9 days,
amendments to the Thai Civil and Commercial Code
regarding partnerships and limited liability companies
were adopted and published in the Government Gazette
on March 3, 2008 and will be effective on July 1, 2008.
