THE MALAYSIAN-THAI CHAMBER OF COMMERCE CONTINUES TO DONATE FOOD TO FLOOD-STRICKEN VICTIMS IN OUTLYING AREAS

The Malaysian business community continues to donate and distribute meal packs together with drinking water and sanitizing liquid to flood-stricken communities in hard- to- reach places.

MTCC, with major support from RHB Bank Berhad, Bangkok Branch, Best Plastics Technology Co. Ltd and Beyond Pacific Resources Co. Ltd., distributed 5,250 meal packs to residents in two locations, Bang Bua Tong and Klong 13, Pathum Thani on November 26th and 27th. Orange Trans Co.Ltd. contributed invaluable support by providing a 6-wheel covered truck to transport  the meal packs from within the city to Klong 13. This project was also supported by funds from MTCC members working in Thailand and funds sent by their friends and relatives from Malaysia.  MTCC is appreciative of the opportunity to provide leadership in marshaling funds and resources from within Thailand and from Malaysia as well to help the Thai people in their hour of distress.

This project also benefited from the assistance and support of representatives from iCare Thailand who had been extensively involved in the flood relief effort.
